Music for keyboards from the early baroque by Franz Tunder, Girolamo Frescobaldi and Johann Jakob Froberger
Franz Tunder was not only a great composer for the voice, but also wrote a significant body of keyboard music. As with his vocal writing, he was heavily influenced by Italian style, especially that of the great trendsetter of the manuals, Girolamo Frescobaldi. Tunder’s direct contemporary Johann Jakob Frohberger is widely acknowledged as the inventor of the Baroque keyboard suite.
